Gambling
portals
There are
many kinds of gambling portals. In the old days, when I
first started, there were mainly two kinds of portals: those
created
by webmasters such as myself, and those created by the
very casinos which they promoted. The latter done as a
means to not only bring in more customers, but as portals grew
into more than just link pages, they began to be sought
out for what they have become today, a surfer's best bet for
getting competent advice on where to gamble. The casinos saw
this coming and the ones most likely to NOT get favorable
reviews began their campaigns creating a horde of portal sites
which claim to be unbiased reliable resources but in truth are
nothing more than shills for their respective parent casinos.
These places, and portals which choose to list "just any
casino" are the ones that make the rest of us look bad. Many
rogue casinos approach portal owners with all kinds of
lucrative offers to be able to get advertised on those sites,
and many of the portal owners are too short-sighted to see
that by listing questionable casinos, they are in effect
guaranteeing that you the surfer will not trust them ever
again. Of course that's assuming that you play at that casino
long enough for it to show its true colors. I shake my head at
these portals because they are about the only thing that casts
a dark shadow on my niche. We portal owners truly are the
biggest reason that casinos pay and treat their customers as
well as they do... simply because the casinos know they need
us if they are ever to truly climb to any kind of heights in
this industry.
Of the
gambling portals which were not created by their casino
parents, there were two kinds that I have already
touched on, that being those with an interest to ONLY
list the best places to gamble, and those that weren't
concerned with return traffic. They choose to take
the easy cash and in so doing ... send you to nearly any place
willing to pay the price.
